How WWE Should Book Backlash 2016 (SDLive)

Hello everyone! You may have seen some of my posts before where I fantasy book PPV's 1-2 days before they occur. I have been doing these since Night Of Champions 2015. If you want, you can click on my name and read some of my other ones. Today, this is how I would book Backlash 2016. Enjoy!

PRE SHOW

*We get the usual panel of Renee Young, Booker, King, and Lita. A Social Media Lounge is announced earlier in the day with Intercontinental Champ The Miz and Maryse. Use #AskTheMoneyMaker. Breaking news is also released the day before the show that Kalisto has now been cleared to compete, and Baron Corbin will finally get his one on one match with him in the kickoff. Another Pre-Show match for Corbin? Don't worry, he'll be appearing in some form on the main show too. The panelists give their predictions, and we see video packages and they hype all the matches. We get an interview with the Hype Bros about their chance to go to the finals of the tag title tourney and then we get to our kickoff match.

1st Kickoff Match: Baron Corbin vs Kalisto

Baron Corbin is out first followed by Kalisto. As Kalisto is making his entrance, he's about to run up for the part where he jumps on the trampoline into the ring, and Corbin just runs up and clotheslines him, turning him inside-out, like a complete dick. Corbin stomps on Kalisto on the floor and continues to punch and attack him and refs and trainers try to come down to stop the beat down but Corbin won't let up. Finally Shane and Bryan come down to break it up and they insist Kalisto doesn't compete after the attack, but he has the heart of a warrior, maggle, and you bet he knows he can overcome the odds. The bell rings, and Corbin immediately runs at Kalisto, flattening him with a big boot. Then he gets Kalisto up for an end of days, and squashes him for the monster victory in 20 seconds.

WINNER: Baron Corbin

We get more talking with the panelists as the commentators come out, and video packages. Suddenly, Breezango walks on set and Breeze demands a headset. He says he's not going to stand for what Kane did to Fandango last week, as Fandango shows the damage, and says he's calling out Kane for a match later. We get the Miz SML. The panelists give their final predictions and we go to the main show.

MAIN SHOW

6 matches are currently announced for this show. How this will ever fill 3 hours, I don't know. We get a 9/11 tribute with the 10 bell salute with all of the Smackdown roster on the stage. We get the opening video package and the pyros as Mauro welcomes us to the PPV. We get to our first match.

1ST MATCH: The Usos vs The Hype Bros (Winner advances to the finals of the Tag Title Tourney)

The Usos come out first, and they do their usual tribal intro, but then they just stand there and yell at the crowd instead of saying "When We Say Us, You Say O". The Hype Bros come out next and we see all the different languages and announce tables and commentators. The match goes 10 minutes and The Usos get the win on Mojo when Jey hits the big splash. The Usos advance to face Heath Slater and Rhyno in the finals later in the night.

WINNERS: The Usos

We get an ad for Tapout, and we see a view of the outside of the arena, and a graphic for our next match, Miz vs Ziggler.

2ND MATCH: Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz (c) for the Intercontinental Title

We get a video package of the history between Miz and Ziggler in WWE, and we see how this current feud started with Miz's pipebomb on Talking Smack. The Miz comes out first followed by Dolph. The match goes 14 minutes, and after another great encounter between the two, The Miz retains his championship in a spot similar to their match at Summerslam 2014, where Ziggler hits a Fameasser and then Miz pops back up from the momentum and hits a Skull Crushing Finale. The crowd goes insane for the sequence and Miz sells and crawls, holding his head, and hooks Ziggler's leg for the pin. We go to replays and Miz and Maryse celebrate in the ring and Miz holds up his IC Title. Suddenly, Tye Dillinger's music hits to a big pop. Hopefully most of the crowd knows who he is, and they all do the "10!" Chant. Dillinger and Miz have a face off and Miz tries to get a cheap shot on Dillinger buy Dillinger catches his arm and punches him and tackles him down. He hits a Tye-Breaker, and then holds up Miz's title and then drapes the title over Miz. Dillinger has never really gotten anywhere in NXT, and lots of people have had this idea of a Tye vs Miz feud. Maybe Tye shouldn't win the title this quick, and he wouldn't, but it would give him a boost and bring even more excitement to the SD roster. As always, I'll have the card for next month's Smackdown exclusive PPV, No Mercy, at the end of the post.

WINNER and STILL Intercontinental Champion: The Miz.

We get a backstage segment with Rhyno and Heath Slater preparing for their match and making plans in the locker room. The Usos walk up and the two teams have words.

3RD MATCH: Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt

Randy makes his entrance first followed by Wyatt. This match will kick off the second hour of the show. (9:00 EST). The match goes 17 minutes. We get the big spot near the end of the match where Wyatt is about to hit the Sister Abigail, and Bray swings him around but Orton escapes and nails an RKO, and gets the pin for the win. The reason Orton would win here is because of a little thing we wrestling fans (dis)like to call 50/50 booking. Wyatt would get back his momentum as he would end up interfering in some capacity in the main event, as you'll see later, and he would become champion at No Mercy. Also, Orton can't suffer two straight PPV losses, especially after the Lesnar beat down, and he needs the win here. The Viper got the best of The Eater Of Worlds tonight.

WINNER: Randy Orton

4TH MATCH: Kane vs Tyler Breeze w/ Fandango

Usually, I never like random impromptu matches on PPV like this would be, but it could help fill time, and it would actually make sense, considering Kane's beatdown on Breeze's partner, Fandango on Smackdown. The match obviously came about in the pre show as you saw. Breezeango come out first and Breeze waits in the ring with Fandango at ringside. After a few seconds, Kane comes out and the match begins. It goes about 7 minutes and Kane dominates most of it. Near the end of the match, Baron Corbin's music hits out of nowhere, and Kane gets distracted. Breeze sneaks up from behind and rolls up Kane for the big upset win. Breeze immediately runs for his life as his music hits and Kane looks pissed. Breezeango retreat backstage and Kane starts to leave the ring but Corbin comes out of nowhere and hits Kane with a chair. Corbin pursues a beatdown on Kane much like he did with Kalisto earlier. Corbin wants to make a name for himself, and they need to capitalize on the Kane-Corbin staredown a couple of weeks ago. Baron Corbin looks strong and hits an End Of Days on the 300-pound Kane. Plus, this all gives Breezeango an unexpected boost and puts them in the hunt for the tag titles.

WINNER: Tyler Breeze

We get a promo for Clash Of Champions.

5TH MATCH: Nikki Bella vs Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch vs Naomi vs Natalya vs Carmella (6 Pack Challenge to crown the 1st ever Smackdown Women's Champion).

Nikki Bella comes out first, followed by Becky Lynch, then Natalya, then Naomi, then Alexa Bliss, and finally Carmella. The match goes 14 minutes and the order of elimination goes Natalya, Naomi, Alexa, Carmella. The final two come down to Nikki and Becky. They both trade finishers and punches and go at it for about 4 minutes. The match ends in a cool sequence where they both trade off submissions, with Becky locking Nikki in the Disarmer, Nikki rolls over and puts her in the STF, Becky rolls back into the Disarmer again, then Nikki goes one more time into the STF, and it looks like Becky is about to Tap, but then Becky gets Nikki in a BRIDGING Disarmer, and Nikki can't stand the pain and taps out, crowning Becky Lynch as the first ever SD Women's Champ.

WINNER By Submission and NEW Smackdown Women's Champion: Becky Lynch.

We get an ad for the new shows coming to the WWE Network.

6TH MATCH: Heath Slater and Rhyno vs The Usos (SD Tag Titles Tournament Finals

Slater and Rhyno come out first and he hugs all his kids in the front row again. The Usos make their entrance after. My god, what a wrestling fan would've said to you if a year ago you would've said that Heath Slater would be in a big PPV match, teaming up with RHYNO, fighting for a championship, that he would likely win. We get formal ring introductions. The match goes 14 minutes, and near the end, Rhyno is gong for a Gore on Jimmy, but he jumps and Rhyno gores the ref. The ref is knocked out of the ring and Rhyno is trying to figure out what happened when The Usos team up on him, but suddenly American Alpha return and run down out of nowhere, and they beat down the Usos. Jordan does his usual corner spear to Jey, knocking him out of the ring, and then they hit Grand Amplitude on Jimmy. The crowd is hyped and chant for Alpha, as they retreat to the stage. Slater crawls back into the ring after being knocked out earlier, and sees that it's his chance. He stumbles to cover Jimmy, and a ref runs down from the ramp and the crowd is hot for Slater. The crowd counts the 1, 2, 3. The crowd goes mad for Slater's big win and Rhyno comes in to celebrate. We go to replays and Slater and Rhyno pose on the ropes. The Usos are gone now. The crowd is chanting "Sign Heath Slater", and Daniel Bryan's music hits and out he comes to do just that. The crowf chants Yes and Bryan looks at Slater's SD contract, shakes his head, and then hands it over. Bryan chants Yes with the crowd and Slater and Rhyno both pose on the ropes with their titles, and Heath Slater can finally support his 2-4-7-14 kids, and his above ground pool.

WINNERS and NEW Smackdown Tag Team Champions: Heath Slater and Rhyno.

7th Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship

AJ Styles is out first. He gets to the ring and then demands a microphone. He gets one and says that after this match, he'll show Dean Ambrose what happens when you don't take AJ Styles seriously. He says he'll show Ambrose why he is the phenomenal one. He says he went through hell to get to this point, and the last 18 years didn't mean nothing. He says that through it all, his career has all led up to this night, the night where he'll finally declare his place at the top of the mountain, as WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world. Mic drop. The crowd is hot for AJ after that and then Dean Ambrose comes out. The match goes 21 minutes, and it's an awesome match with lots of high spots, like Ambrose nailing AJ with an Elbow drop through the announce table off the barricade like he's done numerous timer before. The match ends when AJ and Ambrose are brawling, and Styles hits a Pele Kick on Ambrose, sending him into the ropes, and he goes for a Rebound Lariat but AJ kicks him in the gut and gets him up for the Styles Clash. Styles rolls him over and hooks the leg for the win. The Phenomenal One is finally a World Champion in WWE. The commentators and crowd goes insane and we go to replays. Styles holds up his title and Too Sweets it and then he stands over Ambrose, pointing to the title and mocking him. Styles starts beating him down more and goes to the apron to hit the Forearm when suddenly Bray Wyatt's graphic appears. The lights go out and when they come back on, both Ambrose and Styles are laid out in the ring. Wyatt holds up the title, standing tall to end the show.

WINNER and NEW WWE World Champion: AJ Styles
