How WWE Should Book Royal Rumble 2023 (Unfinished)

Hey everyone! This all started back with my first post on WWE’s Night Of Champions 2015 PPV, when WhatCulture’s early concept of “How WWE Should Book” videos inspired me to start directing the shows in my vision. As the quality and output of the company downgraded yearly, I decided it was time to try and help it improve. With these posts, I will do my best to craft compelling, larger-than-life characters, storylines and angles that captivate you, and matchups that will amaze you, all through the power of sensibility and logical booking. Sharing the fan-driven vision of a better WWE for all since 2015. Putting my best ideas forward and trying to get them seen. SEGMENT | RAW XXX kicks off with The Undertaker making his entrance as The Deadman, he cuts a promo recalling the history of Monday Night RAW. In a completely unexpected cameo that catches both The Deadman and the WWE universe off-guard, the man who Undertaker stood across the ring from in the very first RAW's main event, Damien Demento, appears to confront Undertaker. Demento cuts an angry promo, calling for the fans' respect for being the other man in the ring in the very first RAW main event, bitter that the fans don't remember his name as they do Taker's. Demento's speech, and his airways are cut off by a hand across his throat, when he suffers a chokeslam from Undertaker, followed by a Tombstone Piledriver. The 30th anniversary of RAW opens just as the first RAW closed, as The Undertaker administers his own personal 3-count on Demento in the middle of the ring. Undertaker picks the mic back up, simply says "Welcome to RAW XXX, Rest IN PEACE", and then slowly walks to the back. | N/A | N/A

1 | The Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio) (w/ Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley) defeated The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) (w/ Sami Zayn) by Pinfall | Tag Team match for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships | 20 minutes

SEGMENT: D-Generation X come out, consisting of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, X-Pac, and they also bring out Ric Flair. The legends share some of their own personal memories in 30 Years of RAW, and the segment is interrupted by Seth "Freakin" Rollins. Rollins taunts them all, challenging everyone in the ring to meet him in the Royal Rumble match. Teddy Long then comes out, and declares that he wants to make a Tag Team match, pitting Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg and X-Pac vs. Seth Rollins, Ric Flair, and THE UNDERTAKA. | N/A | N/A

2 | Bobby Lashley (w/ The Hurt Business (MVP, Cedric Alexander, Omos and Shelton Benjamin)) defeated Austin Theory (c) by Pinfall | Singles match for the WWE United States Championship | 15 minutes

SEGMENT | Alpha Academy backstage interview, devolves into a battle of "SHOOSH!" vs. "DAMN!" as Ron Simmons appears.

SEGMENT | After the conclusion of the United States Championship match, Baron Corbin makes his way out to the ring, with JBL. Corbin gets on the mic to whine and complain about how he was *this* close to winning last week's 6-man elimination match for the title shot, Corbin goes on and on about how he's been getting screwed left and right over the past few months, and out comes Kurt Angle to interrupt. This turns out to be Angle and Corbin's first confrontation in the ring ever since Corbin retired him at WrestleMania 35; and there is tension in the air. The two men bring up their history, and Kurt runs Corbin down. The segment ends with the Olympic Hero delivering an Angle Slam to Corbin, and locking Corbin in the Ankle Lock until JBL eventually pulls him out of the ring to safety. Finally, Angle has gotten one back over on Corbin for retiring him years ago. | N/A | N/A

3 | Becky Lynch (w/ The Bella Twins) defeated Bayley (w/ Damage CTRL) by Pinfall | Steel Cage match | 20 minutes

SEGMENT | Roman Reigns' Acknowledgement Ceremony ft. every generation of The Bloodline  | N/A | Just as damn long as The Tribal Chief wants to go, Uce.
