**Hey everyone! Ever since Night Of Champions 2015, through
multiple accounts, every month before major WWE pay-per-views, I’ve come on
here and booked the cards to make them as exciting, intriguing, and best
possible scenarios for the future. I do both NXT and main-roster pay-per-views,
as well as the occasional big RAW or Smackdown weekly show. Without further
ado, here is how WWE Should Book Royal Rumble 2019!**

* 2016: I swear I did 2016 and I linked it in last years post, but somehow i think it got removed. Oh well. I had Lesnar win the Rumble and the belt.

> KICKOFF-SHOW:
* We get the special 1st hour Royal Rumble panel of Jonathan
Coachman, Beth Phoenix, Booker T and Jerry Lawler. As usual, they give their
predictions, hype up the matches, give insight about their own experiences in
the Royal Rumble match, and show us a multitude of video packages. **A social
media lounge segment is announced earlier in the day with the challenger to the
Universal Championship, Finn Balor, use #AskFinnBalor**. We get a plethora of
backstage interviews and full analysis of the card from the panel. *About 40
minutes into the kickoff, we get to our first match*.
**1ST KICKOFF MATCH: Rusev (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Singles
match for the WWE United States Championship)**
* Nakamura is out first followed by Rusev. **The match goes about
20 minutes. I know that’s probably WAYYYYY too long for a match this
uninteresting to go, but we’ve also got a TWO HOUR PRE-SHOW to fill up time on.
It’s for the best**. We get formal ring introductions. Nakamura’s character is
absolutely dead and he’s very likely out the door after his contract is up.
This storyline has been pretty bad, and it’s super weird that Lana, who has
been in a MITB match before, apparently died after Nakamura kinda fell next to
her. **The match ends when as Rusev has Nakamura in the Accolade, but Nakamura
manages to roll out of it. Nakamura runs and tries for the Kinshasa, but Rusev
ducks and nails a big Machka Kick for the pin**. No point in changing the title
here, Rusev is on the better note out of the two right now, keep the title on
him until Elimination Chamber, have him feud with Andrade, have Andrade win the
title off him, and do Mask vs. Hair at Mania with Rey. Boom.
**WINNER by PINFALL and STILL WWE United States Champion: Rusev**
* We get the Social Media Lounge with Finn Balor to bleed into the
second hour of our kickoff show, as Shawn Michaels and David Otunga now swap in
for Jerry Lawler and Booker T. They all continue to blabber on and discuss the
matches and mystique of the Royal Rumble, and about halfway into the second
hour of the kickoff show, we get to our second and final match.
**2ND KICKOFF MATCH: Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Hideo
Itami vs. Kalisto (Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship)**
* This is gonna be a fun one. **Buddy Murphy is out first,
followed by Tozawa, then Kalisto, and finally Hideo Itami. The match goes
around 20 minutes**. This match should definitely be the one to main event the
kickoff. I hate that the Cruisers are ONCE AGAIN being shoehorned to the
prelims, but at least have them on with a decent amount of people in the arena.
The match is full is crazy near-falls and high flying spots. **The match ends
in a huge finisher fest as there are bodies all around ringside. The 3
challengers are all in the ring, and Itami hits a GTS on Tozawa, who then
stumbles backward into a Salida Del Sol from Kalisto. Itami hits ANOTHER GTS on
Kalisto this time, sending him rolling out of the ring. Out of nowhere, Murphy slides
in and nails Murphy’s Law on Hideo for the retain**. Normally I wouldn’t want
to have Itami pinned in this match as he’s probably the second strongest guy in
the match behind Murphy, but Buddy and Itami could be a great, fresh new feud
that could occur in the months leading into Wrestlemania. Itami is very much
overdue for a big feud on 205.
**WINNER by PINFALL and STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Buddy
Murphy**
* The panel give their final predictions for the two Royal Rumble
matches, and we get to the main show.
> MAIN-SHOW:
* The Road To Wrestlemania is finally here. We’ve all made it. The
biggest few months in all of wrestling are about to kick off. We get Then Now
Forever, a Rumble by The Numbers video package, and hopefully pyro to begin as
the event is being held in an open-air stadium and since it’s the second
biggest show of the year. The countdown. The returns. The surprises. The
debuts. The shock. The awe. *LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE*.
**1ST MATCH: Asuka (c) vs. Becky Lynch (Singles match for the WWE
SmackDown Women’s Championship)**
* Becky is out first followed by Asuka and her telepathic powers.
**The match goes around 15 minutes and we get formal ring introductions**. This
match absolutely needs to begin the main card. Or at the very least, this and
the Women’s Rumble can’t go on back to back. The reason for this will become
crystal clear later on in the post. **This match ends when Asuka locks in the
Asuka Lock on Becky, but Becky just won’t tap out, she won’t give up. Minus the
blood, it’s a parallel to the iconic scene of Stone Cold trapped in the
Sharpshooter at Wrestlemania 13. Stone Cold Becky Lynch has to pass out in the
Asuka lock before she gives up**. Obviously the similarities to Austin have
been sung by many fans since her career revitalization at Summerslam. Asuka
just shouldn’t lose the title here, and this finish would get Becky even more
insanely over. I don’t really know what else I could possibly say besides keep
reading on to the Women’s Rumble match...
**WINNER by TECHNICAL SUBMISSION and STILL WWE SmackDown Women’s
Champion: Asuka**
* We get an ad for Tapout.
**2ND MATCH: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles (Singles match for the
WWE Championship)**
* Styles is out first followed by Bryan. **The match goes around
15 minutes and we get formal ring introductions, but Bryan ambushes AJ from
behind as he’s being announced**. Styles winning back the belt here would make
ZERO sense. He said himself that he didn’t want to be champ anymore because of
his desire of a reduced schedule, and ever since WWE wasted the Miz and Bryan
feud in the Summer, I haven’t been able to get over the idea of Bryan vs. Cena
for the title at Wrestlemania this year. They were FAMILY at one point, both
had Bellas as girlfriends, and have been so intertwined in each others lives
for years. They had their classic match at Summerslam years back, and that was
Bryan’s first big exposure that would lead him to the megapush he got leading
into WM30. The story writes itself. I’d have Cena win the Men’s Elimination
Chamber. If Miz vs. Shane is pretty much a done deal at the show of shows at
this point, then Bryan vs. Cena II is a GREAT backup plan. **The match ends
when Bryan taps out AJ to a devastating KENDO STICK LEBELL LOCK for the
retain**. Hopefully after this, Bryan keeps true on his promise to get a VEGAN
ALTERNATIVE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP AND STOPS BEING A MASSIVE HYPOCRITE.

* We get an ad for WWEShop.com, and then we’re taken backstage as Ronda
Rousey is shown in her locker room, mentally preparing for the match with Sasha
Banks later in the night.
**3RD MATCH: 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match**
Here we go. The first Rumble match of the night, and the second
ever Women’s Rumble. I would’ve probably had this match go on first, as I
would’ve last year, but now with two of these every year, WWE seems to like to
put one on in the middle of the card and then one on last in the main event,
and plus this match has just too much weighing on it to just be thrown in as
the opener. *Also since the Women main evented last year, I think it’s pretty
fair to have the Men’s go on last this year. Maybe they can take turns going on
last every other year. That seems like a plausible idea*. Without further ado,
LET’S GET INTO THE MATCH.
* JoJo explains the rules in the ring as we get a graphic on the
screen because all wrestling fans are stupid. **Bayley and Sonya Deville are #1
and #2 respectively**. WWE usually likes to have the first two be pretty random
pairings, such as Big Cass/Chris Jericho in 2017 and Rusev/Balor last year.
These two do however have history as they were the first two in the first ever
Women’s ELIMINATION CHAMBER match last February. The bell tolls 3 times and
we’re off. Bayley and Deville go wild on each other with forearms and they
scuffle in the corner for a few minutes until the clock appears for #3.
* 3...2….1…. BUZZER. The porn music is ablaze as out comes LANA as
the first countdown clock entry of the match. Lana makes a grand entrance, gets
in the ring, **AND IMMEDIATELY GETS KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT BY SONYA DEVILLE,
SENDING HER RIGHT OVER THE TOP FOR THE FIRST ELIMINATION OF THE MATCH**. That’s
your obligatory immediate elimination spot tonight. Lana is furious and referees
have to restrain her from going back in. Bayley and Deville battle in the ring
some more as the clock appears again for #4.
* Out at #4 is EMBER MOON. Surprisingly, I’ve seen her name in
contention to win as a darkhorse pick for a TON of the predictions videos I’ve
watched before writing this post. Who knows? You’ll just have to read until the
end. Ember goes wild on Bayley and Sonya and nails Eclipses on them both. The
three women battle it out for a few minutes until the clock appears again for #5.
* The buzzer sounds and out comes Mickie James at #5. Mickie comes
in and goes crazy, hitting Mick Kicks on everyone. James tries to eliminate
both Bayley and Ember but they hold on. Sonya comes from behind with a big
suplex on Mickie. The 4 ladies work each other over until the countdown clock
returns for our next entrant.
* The buzzer sounds and out at #6 is NIKKI CROSS. Instead of
getting in the ring, she runs around ringside a few times, gets up on the
announce table, goes on commentary and puts on a headset, laughing and saying
she wants to play, and **EVERYONE IN THE RING HAS STOPPED WHAT THEY’RE DOING TO
LOOK AND STARE AT THIS CRAZY WOMAN**. Sonya slides out under the bottom rope to
try and throw Cross into the ring, but Nikki tosses her over the announce
table. Nikki now runs into the ring and goes wild. She throws Bayley, Ember and
Mickie ALL over the top, but they all hang on. Nikki thinks she’s thrown them
all out however and does the Ultimate Warrior rope shaking as the crowd goes
wild. All 3 women come in and work down Cross until the clock appears for the
next entry.
* #7 is Billie Kay. Sonya eventually comes back into the ring and
all 6 women try to eliminate each other as the clock appears once again.
* #8 is our first surprise entrant of the match in JAZZ. She comes
in to a big ovation and hits a DOUBLE NASTY DDT on Kay and James. Jazz hits a
hurricanrana on Bayley, who runs and collides heads with Ember Moon. Jazz looks
to eliminate Nikki Cross when out of nowhere, SONYA DEVILLE RUNS UP AND TOSSES
HER OVER THE TOP. The crowd boos heavy and Sonya is now at 2 eliminations in
the match. Deville and Cross battle in the corner as the countdown reemerges.
* #9 is Liv Morgan. She comes in and goes wild on everyone, and
chooses to go after Bayley in the corner. Bad idea though as Bayley begins to
mount a comeback with a HUGE Bayley To Belly on Liv. Both women are down and
everyone fights as we approach #10.
* #10 is the second surprise and the first NXT appearance of the
match in the *CURRENT NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPION SHAYNA BASZLER.* Everyone stops and
notices the incoming major threat that’s just appeared. Everyone surrounds all
4 sides of the ring to try to prevent Shayna from entering, but just as a
temporary alliance seems to have been made to take out Baszler, LIV MORGAN
AMBUSHES MICKIE JAMES FROM BEHIND AND THROWS HER OUT OF THE RING. Shayna
laughs, stomps on Mickie, and then charges the ring as all the women try and
beat her down, but Shayna JUDO THROWS THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYONE. Shayna kills
everyone and goes right after the current favorite in the ring in Bayley.
Shayna has Bayley in the middle of the ring locked in the clutch but out of
nowhere, NIKKI CROSS COMES OFF THE TOP WITH AN ELBOW DROP TO BOTH SHAYNA AND
BAYLEY. The hold is broken and Nikki goes wild on Shayna until we get ready for
#11.
* Out at #11 is Zelina Vega.
* Out at #12 is Naomi. The ring is filling up now with 9 women
currently in, including Naomi, Vega, Baszler, Liv, Billie Kay, Nikki Cross,
Ember, Sonya and Bayley. Naomi sends Zelina over the top but she manages to
hang on. Naomi runs the ropes and hits a big Rear View, knocking Vega off the
apron to be eliminated.
* Out at lucky #13 is is another member of the Riott Squad in
Sarah Logan. Logan immediately teams up with Liv to take down Baszler. Liv and
Sarah dominate everyone in the ring until the clock appears.
* Lacey Evans is out at #14, and she walks to the ring all slow
and elegant, just like a REAL LADY would. She seems all laid back and that
costs her as Logan and Liv hit a big double suplex over the top, but Evans
manages to hang on. It looks like the Riott Squad alliance are about to become
unstoppable, but as Sonya gets on the apron to try and pull Shayna over to the
floor, Liv cheers her on and Naomi runs up and hits a huge REAR VIEW on Liv,
sending her into Sarah, sending them both out of the ring. Naomi now has 3
eliminations, Sonya has 2, and Liv Morgan had 1. Naomi is standing tall in the
ring and yells for #15 to bring her some real competiton.
* Naomi’s wish comes true as her current SWORN ENEMY MANDY ROSE is
out at #15 to bring us the halfway point of the match. Naomi is ready for a
fight and Rose and Naomi go WILD on each other right away. All the anger of
Mandy trying to steal Jimmy comes out and Naomi actually slides out of the ring
and BRINGS A CHAIR INTO THE ROYAL RUMBLE. Naomi goes INSANE, breaking the chair
over Mandy’s back as the crowd goes mad. Mandy and Naomi end up eliminating
each other as both go over the ropes. Now at the halfway point, currently in
the ring are Bayley, Sonya Deville, Ember Moon, Nikki Cross, Billie Kay, Shayna
Baszler and Lacey Evans.
* Out at #16 is NATALYA. She goes right after Lacey and forms a
temporary alliance with Bayley to hit a Hart Attack on Shayna Baszler, and then
a second on Nikki Cross. Natalya then turns on Bayley and locks her in the
Sharpshooter to weaken her.
* #17 is RUBY RIOTT, the final member of the SQUAD to enter the
match. Natalya and Ruby renew their rivalry for a few minutes as they go after each
other. Ruby Riott eliminates Sonya Deville, who came in at #2 after a great
performance. Riott also manages to lump Billie Kay over the top rope. Within
seconds of coming in, Ruby already has 2 eliminations to her name. The women
all brawl in the ring until the countdown clock appears.
* Out at #18 is yet another surprise, and it’s the returning
MELINA. She goes after everyone and hits her moves.
* Out at #19 is ALICIA FOX.
* Out at #20 is PEYTON ROYCE. We’re now 2/3 of the way through the
match. As Natalya is distracted in the corner trying to eliminate Alicia Fox,
Peyton sees the opportunity and pulls a huge upset elimination, hosting Natalya
over the top and to the floor. Peyton can’t believe what she’s done and runs
around the ring, celebrating. To her surprise, she’s then thrown out by Shayna
Baszler almost immediately. This is where Baszler begins her TEAR. She tosses
out Alicia Fox, she throws out Melina, she takes out Lacey Evans and throws her
over, the NXT Women’s Champion is slowly clearing out the ring. **Currently in
the ring is Bayley who entered at #1, Ember Moon (#4), Nikki Cross (#6), Shayna
Baszler (#10), and Ruby Riott (#17)**.
* The buzzer sounds and out at #21 is VANESSA BOURNE FROM NXT. The
Vision struts out to the ring and right away comes to blows with Shayna Baszler
in a Women’s HOSS battle.
* Out at #22 is yet another surprise in MARYSE. Again, Maryse may
not even be in Phoenix, but I wanted to go with some surprises that are
actually reasonable to happen and weren’t too much of a repeat of last year’s
match. *Maryse foolishly tries to step up to both Baszler and Bourne, BUT OUT
OF NOWHERE COMES BAYLEY WHO TOSSES OUT MARYSE FOR HER VERY FIRST ELIMINATION OF
THE MATCH. Bayley is absolutely fired up now and somehow manages to throw out
Vanessa Bourne! It looks like Bayley is finally set to make her worth effort in
the match when suddenly her dreams are crushed as Shayna Baszler eliminates
Bayley*. #1 and #2 have both been eliminated with Bayley out. The ring is
quickly being cleared out as **EMBER MOON THROWS OUT SHAYNA BASZLER FROM
BEHIND**. The pop is massive and Shayna was the monster of the match,
eliminating 5 women total. Shayna is pissed and tries to rush the ring again.
Referees hold her back, and Shayna looks to be complying and turns toward the
stage, BUT SHE BREAKS THROUGH THE REFS AND RUNS BACK AND TOSSES OUT EMBER MOON.
The crowd boos hard and Shayna now walks to the back on her own. After all that
insanity, the ring looks like a barren wasteland as we’re down to just Nikki
Cross (#6) AND Ruby Riott (#17).
* As order has now been restored in the match, #23 is out and it’s
CHARLOTTE FLAIR. Just like that, after such chaos and rapid elimination, one of
the favorites has entered the match. Charlotte hits spears on both Nikki and
Ruby right away and then lets out a huge WOOO. Charlotte works over the two
women until the clock appears.
* Out at #24 is NIA JAX. Nia immediately gets booed to death. She
storms to the ring and hits an Atomic Legdrop on Nikki Cross, subsequently
throwing over for her first elimination. It’s down again to the slim number of
3 superstars in the ring, with Nia beating down both Charlote and Riott until
the clock appears.
* Out at #25 is DANA BROOKE.
* Out at #26 is MARIA KANELLIS. I’m not even sure she’s had one
match yet in WWE, and this would be quite a nice surprise.
* Out at #27, THE SPOT THAT HAS PRODUCED THE MOST VICTORIES IN
ROYAL RUMBLE HISTORY, and it’s TAMINA. Tamina makes her supremely entertaining,
ultra intimidating entrance to the ring, but **is AMBUSHED MID-ENTRANCE BY THE
MAN BECKY LYNCH. THE CROWD IS VOLCANIC AS BECKY BEATS THE HELL OUT OF TAMINA,
SENDING HER OFF THE STAGE CRASHING THROUGH A STACK OF TABLES**. The crowd
chants Holy Shit as Becky comes in hot. She eliminates Maria Kanellis, then
Dana Brooke. Becky and Charlotte engage in a wild brawl and Nia takes on Ruby
Riott until the clock appears.
* Out at #28 is the final surprise of the night, RHEA RIPLEY FROM
NXT UK. She goes right after Nia Jax and tries to eliminate her, but she hangs
on. Ripley turns into a Spear from Charlotte and a huge Corner Exploder suplex
from Lynch. Becky, Charlotte, Ruby and Nia continue to fight as Rhea is down
and the clock appears.
* Out at #29 IS THE RETURNING ALEXA BLISS. She gets a big pop and
runs wild on everyone. Alexa hits a Twisted Bliss on Ruby Riott (#17) and
eliminates her. All the women in the ring fight as the clock appears for our
final entrant…
* #30 is FABULOUS as Carmella’s music hits. Except it’s not
Carmella that comes out, **IT’S HER MIXED MATCH CHALLENGE PARTNER R-TRUTH.
Truth is confused and gets about halfway down the ramp before the actual
Carmella runs down and alerts Truth that this is the WOMEN’S Royal Rumble
match. They both have microphones and Truth says “MY BAD!” but goes and slides
in the ring anyways. Carmella follows behind him and all the women in the ring
stop and stare as Truth has his fists up, ready to fight. The sea of women
parts, however, as Nia Jax steps up to Truth, and Truth steps over the top rope
and RUNS TO THE BACK, SCARED. Carmella is distracted by this and Jax hoists
Carmella over for the elimination**. No more Dance Breaks in WWE, R-Truth has
indirectly cost Carmella the Rumble match.
* We’re now down to our final 5. Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Becky
Lynch, Rhea Ripley and Alexa Bliss. Charlotte hits a spear on Ripley and throws
her over.
* WE’RE NOW DOWN TO THE **FINAL 4. Charlotte Flair from 23, Nia
Jax from 24, Becky Lynch from 27, and Alexa Bliss from 29**. Alexa Bliss gets
thrown out by her former best friend, Nia Jax.
* The Final 3 now reside in the ring. Charlotte Flair. Nia Jax.
Becky Lynch. The three ladies try to eliminate each other for a few minutes and
fail, hitting finishers aplenty, but eventually BECKY MANAGES TO GET A SECOND
DOSE OF FACE-BREAKING REVENGE ON NIA BY THROWING HER OVER TO AN ERUPTION OF
NOISE FROM THE CROWD.
* WE’RE DOWN TO OUR FINAL 2. CHARLOTTE FLAIR (#23) AND BECKY LYNCH
(#27). BECKY WASN’T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE IN THIS MATCH. BUT SHE’S THE MAN AND
SHE SAW HER OPPORTUNITY, SHE TOOK OUT TAMINA, ONE OF NIA JAX’S BEST FRIENDS,
THE SAME PERSON THAT BROKE HER FACE.Charlotte and Becky remain for a good 5
minutes, putting on surely one of the greatest final-2 Rumble performances of
all time. Sworn enemies all of 2018, the final 2 in the Rumble for a shot at
the biggest prize they can have on the biggest show of the year. It all comes
down to this.**Ultimately, the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match ends as both
Becky and Charlotte send each other over the top rope to the floor at the exact
same time. Now they would definitely need to get the timing of this right
before the show so it doesn’t look like one hit the ground 3 hours before the
other, or they could just intentionally use a bad camera angle, but the two
ladies pull of a Luger/Bret 1994 Rumble style finish. Afterward, both ladies
get in the ring, one ref raises Becky’s hand, one raises Charlotte’s hand, and
it’s declared that they both co-won the match**. There’s really no other way to
get to the triple threat match at Mania. WWE seems set on inserting Charlotte
into what should be a singles match between Becky and Rousey, and this is
definitely the best way to do it. Very few will see WWE actually doing this,
but it would be amazing in execution. **It’s now time for both women to decide
who they want to challenge at Wrestlemania. Who knows? Becky could pick Ronda
and Charlotte could pick Asuka again, or vice versa. They both scream RONDA
ROUSEY at the same time, and the match is set**. We get the graphic, Triple Threat
at Mania, RAW Women’s Title, and that’s your Rumble.

**4TH MATCH: The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) (c) vs. The Miz and
Shane McMahon (Tag Team match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships)**
* The Bar are out first followed by THE MONEYMAKERS in matching
attire. **This match definitely needs to go on after the awesome insanity of
the Women’s Rumble as the come-down match, or else the crowd will be dead for
some big matches**. The match goes 10 minutes, and ends after *Miz hits a Skull
Crushing Finale on Sheamus, drags him into the corner, and Shane hits a Coast
To Coast* for the titles. You knew this would happen. It’ll be fun to see the
explosion online. They won’t hold them for long. This won’t hurt the Bar,
they’re still the best damn tag team in the industry, a McMahon holds a title
in 2019…… oh my god…… Shane McMahon and The Miz are champions…. and IT’S
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.

* We get an ad for Elimination Chamber PPV next month, which by
the way I’ll have my full card for at the end of this post. We then go
backstage to see Sasha Banks walking through backstage, into Gorilla, and
through the curtains as her music hits for the next match.
**5TH MATCH: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Sasha Banks (Singles match for
the WWE RAW Women’s Championship)**
* Sasha Banks is out first followed by Rousey. This is gonna be
the best match Rousey has ever had, one of the best matches Sasha has ever had,
because it just feels so DIFFERENT. So NEW. We’ve never seen a clash of styles
like this before, a clash of experience, background, god it’s just gonna be
amazing. The match goes 20 minutes and we get formal ring introductions.
There’s all sorts of innovative spots including how **the match ends when Rousey
catches a Suicide Dive from Sasha to the outside in an ARMBAR. Ronda just
breaks it before the count of 8, slides back in, slides back out, throws Sasha
back into the ring. She’s doesn’t wanna end the biggest match of her career to
date with a countout. Ronda’s niceness has cost her however, as as Ronda is
getting into the ring, SASHA HITS A BACKSTABBER AND LOCKS IN THE BANK STATEMENT
FOR THE THIRD TIME IN THE MATCH. This time, Ronda has nowhere to go. No ropes
to grab. She’s in the center of the ring. Is Rousey about to suffer her first
loss to Sasha Banks? Ronda does the only thing she can do. She uses all her
might and body weight to roll over, tries to roll-up Sasha, Sasha kicks out,
and Rousey locks in the armbar for the submission**. Sasha may have failed her,
but I’d expect that she has more gold in her very near future…. The Boss and
Hug Connection.. Elimination Chamber…. First ever Women’s Tag Team Titles….
we’ll just have to see.
**WINNER by SUBMISSION and STILL WWE RAW Women’s Champion: Ronda
Rousey**
* We go backstage and see R-Truth arguing with Vince McMahon in
his office. *Vince tells truth that he’s already entered a Rumble match
tonight, and it would be a conflict of interest to allow him to enter another
at #30 in the Men’s like he was supposed to. Vince tells Truth it’s his own
fault and to get the hell out of his office*. We then go to the announcers as
they thank the artist of the official theme song of the PPV, Zayde Wolf with
“We Got The Power”.
**6TH MATCH: Brock Lesnar (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Finn Balor
(Singles match for the WWE Universal Championship)**
* Brock is out first with the Paulrus. Brock circles the ring, and
then Heyman cuts a pre-match promo doing the usual schtick and introduction for
Lesnar. THE REIGNING…. DEFENDING…. UNDISPUTED…. WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION…
BRRRRRRR- the lights go out. **The heartbeat beats.The smoke emerges. DEMON
BALOR HAS ARRIVED IN PHOENIX. He’s got the words BEAST SLAYER painted all over
his body**. Balor eventually enters the ring and the ref holds up the title as
Balor and Lesnar are in the middle of the ring, nose-to-nose, not taking their
eyes off each other. The match goes 20 minutes and it’s gotta be another
classic. When Brock Lesnar is motivated and COMES TO WORK, he’s legitimately
still one of the very best in the world. We saw it with CM Punk, we saw it with
Joe, with Styles, and most recently with Daniel Bryan. This one is especially
interesting because Brock reportedly HANDPICKED to work with Finn at this show.
You know he’s coming with his A-game. Back to the match now, the bell rings and
right out of the gate, Brock is selling like a madman. **Balor comes right at
Lesnar with a Missle Dropkick, sending him into the corner. Brock is stumbling
around, and Balor hits a series of kicks and Slingblades. Balor hits a 1916 On
Brock and the beast is down now. Heyman is screaming outside the ring for Brock
to get up, but Balor goes up top and HITS A COUP DE GRACE. SO FAR THIS HAS BEEN
A SQUASH MATCH FOR LESNAR. BALOR HITS IT, MAKES THE COVER, EVERYONE ON THE EDGE
OF THEIR SEAT, BUT BROCK KICKS OUT**. The two have a highly competitive match
for the next 20 minutes until the match eventually ends when Brock hits the 4th
F-5 of the match to put away Demon Balor. This is a finish that I really feel
should happen. Much like Asuka, much like Rusev, Bianca Belair, or anyone
that’s ever had an undefeated streak gimmick like Demon Balor, no one will stay
undefeated forever. It takes away the excitement and unpredictability of the
match. If there’s anyone to finally defeat the Demon on the main roster, it’s
Brock, one of the most dangerous wrestlers of all time. Plus, little secret,
the Demon has already been beaten back in NXT to Samoa Joe, Don’t tell anyone,
though. I don’t feel that this would in any way kill the Demon Character. If he
lost to a Baron Corbin as the Demon, it’d be dead. Done. Finished. Not to Brock
Lesnar, though. Balor will go on to do big things at Wrestlemania this year,
this loss will only make him stronger. Just you wait and see.
**WINNER by PINFALL and STILL WWE Universal Champion: Brock
Lesnar**
* We get the Rumble By The Numbers video package again, where if
you weren’t aware, the only way to win the match is by throwing your opponent
over the top rope. Did you catch that? Both feet must hit the floor.

Royal Rumble begins the road to Wrestlemania, MAGGLE? Enough. Let’s go.
**7TH MATCH: 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble match**
* Jerry Lawler and JBL make their entrances to commentate the
match, and we’re underway. Mike Rome explains the rules one final time, and
it’s time to find out the superstar who drew #1.
* BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNN IT DOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWN.
Seth Rollins makes his way out and he’s got the unlucky draw of beginning this
year’s match. Rollins makes his way to the ring and now it’s time to find out
who drew #2.
* EL IDOLO. Andrade (not Cien Almas) makes his way out and he and
Seth have an absolute BANGER, A CLASSIC, A SLOBBERKNOCKER, A FIVE STAR AFFAIR
to begin the Men’s Rumble. The two exchange high profile moves and are fast and
furious in the ring until the clock appears for the first countdown entrant of
the match.
* Out at #3 is *EC* 3. This will for sure be the new Tye Dillinger
coming out at #10 every year. It’s because EC3 has 3 in his name! Do you get
it? Do you? Do you get it? HAHA! EC3 comes in and hits One Percenters on both
Rollins and Almas. The three men fight until the clock appears.
* Out at #4 is JEFF HARDY! Loaded rings all throughout Chase Field
and Jeff comes in hot, with a Springboard clothesline, taking down Almas. Jeff
hits a Twist of Fate on Rollins, then on EC3, but his momentum is quickly
shattered as he runs into a Straightjacket DDT from Almas. Almas battles Hardy
and Rollins battles EC3 as the clock appears for our next entry.
* Out at #5 is our first surprise of the match in THE RETURNING
SAMI ZAYN. It feels so good to hear his theme song again as Zayn goes wild with
Helluva Kicks and Blue Thunderbombs to everyone in his way. Sami, many months
ago said he’s not even close to being cleared to return, that is called WORKING
THE MARKS. I’ve only heard Kevin Owens is being put off to return until after
Mania, but that shouldn’t hold Zayn back too. Zayn tries to eliminate Rollins
as the clock appears for the next entrant.
* Out at #6 is APOLLO CREWS.
* Out at #7 is REY MYSTERIO. He comes in like a bullet, hitting a
Double West Coast Pop on both Rollins and Andrade, 619s for both EC3 and Jeff Hardy,
and a Tornado DDT on Zayn. Crews tries to be cocky and eliminate Mysterio, but
he eats a huge kick to the face, and a West Coast Pop for his troubles. All the
men in the ring fight as the clock appears.
* Out at #8 is BARON CORBIN. He goes right after Mysterio,
targeting the smallest guy in the match so far. Mysterio hits a 619 on Corbin
though, but gets Double Knees in the corner from Almas and a subsequent Buckle
Bomb from Seth Rollins. Everyone continues to fight and *the ring is filling up
now with no eliminations so far* as the clock appears.
* Out at #9 IS SAMOA JOE. Joe walks toward the ring, calm, cool
and collected.**Joe walks to the announcers desk and dismantles it, taking off
the monitors and such. He very subtly removes the cover and places it kinda
vertically against the table. This will come into play later in the match**.
Joe then begins to murder everyone he lays eyes upon. The first
elimination of the match comes when Joe takes every out except for Jeff Hardy.
Jeff tries for a Whisper In The Wind but Joe catches him on the ground in a
Coquina Clutch. Joe traps Jeff until he passes out and then dumps the Enigma’s
limp body over the top. Joe unleashes strikes on Corbin in the corner as
everyone tries for eliminations and the clock appears.
* Out at #10 is THE MIZ. Miz is elated after capturing the
SmackDown Tag Titles earlier in the night with Shane McMahon and rushes to the
ring with no hesitation. Miz hits DDTs on everyone but eventually runs into
Samoa Joe like a brick wall. We’re already 1/3 of the way through the match at
this point, and don’t you worry; it’s gonna pick up hard. EC3 attempts to
eliminate Miz as the clock appears for our next entrant.
* Out at #11 is BIG E, the first member of New Day in the match.
Big E runs wild, hitting everyone with Belly To Bellies.
* Out at #12 is JINDER MAHAL. Mahal comes out with both Singh
brothers and is practicing Shanti on his way to the ring. Mahal hits a Khallas
on Rollins and then one on Almas. Jinder somehow looks to be clearing all his
competition when out next comes….
* OUT AT #13 IS ALEISTER BLACK. After losing to Ciampa the
previous night, Aleister Black is making his official main roster debut and
he’s here with a vengeance and a point to prove. Black gets in right away, and
Jinder foolishly tries to toss him out. **Black tosses Jinder to the apron, and
nails an EAR-SHATTERING BLACK MASS TO MAHAL, SENDING HIM TO THE FLOOR**.
There’s your instant-elimination spot of the night. Samoa Joe and Black now
hold one elimination a piece. Joe and Black battle now, and Black manages to
take him down with his brutal strikes. Black eliminates Apollo Crews. Now in
the ring remain Seth Rollins, Andrade, EC3, Zayn, Mysterio, Corbin, Joe, Miz,
Big E and Black. Everyone battles until the clock appears.
* Out at #14 is XAVIER WOODS. Woods comes to the aid of Big E
right away and they dominate everyone, even throwing out Baron Corbin in the
process. Rollins begins to mount a comeback now as he hits dropkicks on both
New Day members, and dishes out Curb Stomps to Andrade, Mysterio, Joe and Miz.
Rollins and Aleister Black battle in the corner as the clock appears to usher
in our halfway point.
* Out at #15 is ELIAS. He plays a song down to the ring vowing to
win the Rumble. Elias enters the ring and IMMEDIATELY GOES AFTER THE BIGGEST
THREAT, SMASHING THE GUITAR OVER SAMOA JOE’S BACK. Elias tries to throw Joe out
but he hangs on. Elias runs into a One Percenter from EC3 for his troubles. Now
halfway through the match, Black has 2 eliminations, and Joe, Big E and Woods
all have 1. The clock appears for our next man.
* Out at #16 is MUSTAFA ALI. Ali hits high flying moves on
everyone, and he and Mysterio have a nice little exchange of insanity. Joe hits
a German on Ali, and when The Miz runs at him for an attack, Joe sends Miz
flying over to the floor. Black and Almas take center stage in the ring as
everyone else is down as the clock reappears.
* Out at #17 is THE ALL MIGHTY BOB LASH. Lio accompanies him to
the ring with the IC title over his shoulder as Lashley charges the ring. He
takes down Big E right away with a Spear, and stall suplexes Mysterio in the
middle of the ring. As Lio continues to be annoying on the microphone, Seth
Rollins takes initiative and slides out to go superkick Rush into oblivion.
Rollins springboards back in with a knee to Mysterio and manages to eliminate
him for Seth’s first elimination of the match. Rollins begins to pick up the
pace for himself here. He tosses out Sami Zayn, he tosses out EC3, and nails a
massive frogsplash on a STANDING Bobby Lashley. Rollins is gaining serious
momentum as now in the ring are Rollins, Andrade, Samoa Joe, Big E, Black,
Woods, Elias, Mustafa Ali and Lashley. The clock appears as Rollins attempts to
eliminate Ali.
* Out at #18 is RANDAL KEITH ORTON. Orton hits an RKO on Elias and
throws him over. Samoa Joe is up now and goes right after Orton for retribution
over how SmackDown ended this week. Orton hits the elevated DDT on Joe but gets
his momentum to a screeching halt as Rollins hits a Stinger Splash in the
corner to Orton. Orton and Rollins battle as the clock appears.
* Out at #19 is KOFI KINGSTON to complete the New Day. Kofi
revives E and Woods and hits a Trouble In Paradise to Rollins and Lashley. Kofi
tries to hit one on Black, but Black ducks and KILLS HIM with a Black Mass. Big
E and Woods come to the aid of Kingston and try to eliminate Aleister as the
clock appears.
* Out at #20 is another NXT surprise in NEW NXT NORTH AMERICAN
CHAMPION JOHNNY GARGANO. Gargano and Andrade immediately have an amazing
callback to their Philly match with a flurry of offense. *Gargano hits a
Slingshot Spear on Samoa Joe, knocking him down, and locks Rollins in the
Garga-No Escape before Ali breaks it up with a huge 054 Splash on top of both
of them*. We’re now 2/3 through the match, and we have Seth Rollins (1),
Andrade (2), Samoa Joe (9), Big E (11), Aleister Black (13), Woods (14) Mustafa
Ali (16), Lashley (17), Orton (18), Kingston (19) and Gargano.
* Out at #21 is TITUS O’NEIL. You just know WWE is gonna be
adamant on recreating TITUS WORDSLIDE, so titus comes down, slips, and falls
under the ring. Everyone tries to look for him but he comes up from behind and
actually ELIMINATES XAVIER WOODS FOR THE UPSET. Samoa Joe then comes from
behind and throws Titus out. Big E also tries to avenge Woods but gets tossed
out by Joe for his troubles.
* As CHAD GABLE comes out at #22, Seth Rollins hits a V-Trigger
knee on Joe, knocking him to the mat. Kofi charges at Rollins. **Seth throws
Kingston over but he lands on the apron. Kofi leaps up to the top rope and
tries for a flying move but Rollins SHOVES Kofi off, Kofi loses his balance,
and KOFI JUMPS ONTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE COVER THAT JOE TOOK OFF EARLIER IN THE
MATCH. Big E and Woods go crazy. It snaps in half, and technically Kofi’s feet
are not touching the ground. He uses the two announce table pieces to scoot his
way back to the apron, and that’s your Kofi save spot for the year. Kofi tries
to get back in but eats a Superkick from Rollins to go right back over. The
focus is back in the ring now as Gable goes wild with German Suplexes on
everyone until the clock appears.
* Out at #23 IS THE FIRST LEGEND OF THE MATCH, THE NXT GENERAL
MANAGER, WILLIAM REGAL. Regal can certainly come in for a few minutes, hit a
few Regal Cutters, throw a few punches, a few clotheslines. Regal forms a
temporary alliance with Gargano and Black, two of his NXT boys, as the clock
appears.
* Out at #24 is ERIC YOUNG. Young goes after everyone, and before
he goes Regal manages to get a sneaky elimination on Young. Samoa Joe tosses
Regal out mid-celebration, throws out Mustafa Ali, and lets out a huge roar in
the middle of the ring. **Samoa Joe is now sat at 6 eliminations, Rollins at 4,
Black at 2, and Big E, Woods, Orton, Titus and Regal all at one a piece**.
Lashley manages to eliminate Chad Gable just as the buzzer sounds for our next
entrant.
* Out at #25 is CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION BUDDY MURPHY OF 205LIVE.
Murphy almost eliminates Orton but he manages to hang on. Murphy, Almas and
Rollins have a fun 3-way affair until the clock appears.
* Out at #26 is BOBBY ROODE, the other half of the RAW Tag champs.
Roode hits Glorious DDTs on everyone and hits his Glorious pose as the clock
appears for our next man.
* Out at #27 is DREW MCINTYRE. Business is about to pick up. Drew
immediately eliminates Johnny Gargano, then Bobby Roode, then Aleister Black,
and goes wild on Seth Rollins in the corner. McIntyre tries to dump Rollins
over but he hangs on. Drew tosses out Lashley, and hit reign of terror is
paused momentarily as he runs into an RKO FROM RANDY ORTON. The Viper begins to
gain momentum as the clock appears.
* Out at #28 is DEAN AMBROSE. Ambrose runs wild and hits Buddy
Murphy with a Dirty Deeds before tossing him over. Samoa Joe comes out of
nowhere and tries to throw Ambrose out but Dean manages to hang on. Samoa Joe
turns around INTO A CLAYMORE KICK FROM MCINTYRE, SENDING JOE OVER THE TOP
ROPE AFTER AN ABSOLUTELY DOMINATING 6 ELIMINATIONS AND NEARLY 45 MINUTES SPENT
IN THE MATCH. The crowd is in shock at Joe’s elimination as the clock appears
and he heads to the back.
* Out at #29 is last year’s winner, SHINSUKE NAKAMURA. Nakamura
hits Kinsahsas on everyone early, but runs into an enzuguri from Seth Rollins.
Rollins tosses Nakamura through the middle rope, and hits a barrage of Suicide
Dives THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE. Rollins is on fire yet again as Nakamura is laid
out, not yet eliminated, on the outside. Rollins hits a Listo Kick on Andrade,
a knee on Orton, a Curb Stomp on McIntyre, punches Ambrose in the face, and
EVERYONE is down. Rollins tells #30 to BRING IT ON as he stands, waiting. The
clock appears, and out comes the final entrant of the night….
* Out at #30 IS SHAWN MICHAELS. If you didn’t read anything else
from this post, Truth blew this spot earlier in the night by accidentally
entering the Women’s match. Michaels is SO not done yet. He’s one of the best
liers in company history, and he’d definitely be down for one last Rumble
match.This is no full-time return, just a way to set up his real last match at
Wrestlemania, which you’ll find out in a matter of moments. Rollins and HBK
have a dream staredown and Shawn goes crazy with Sweet Chin Musics, even
nailing Nakamura who’s crawled back into the ring at this point. Shawn returns
to his staredown with Rollins and the two go at it. Seth tries for a Slingblade
but Michaels HITS A SWEET CHIN MUSIC MID-AIR. Shawn kips-up and hits an Elbow
on Nakamura, then proceeding to toss him over.
* We’re down to our Final 6. Seth Rollins, Andrade, Randy Orton,
Drew McIntyre, Dean Ambrose and Shawn Michaels. Orton and Michaels have an
exchange as Orton tries for the RKO but eats another Chin Music. **Shawn goes
up top, turns around, and is about to go for a Moonsault on Orton when A GONG
SOUNDS AND THE LIGHTS GO OUT. THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON AND THERE’S THE
UNDERTAKER, HE’S GOT MICHAELS BY THE THROAT, AND CHOKESLAMS HIM OFF THE TOP
ROPE THROUGH A TABLE ON THE OUTSIDE. Taker retired Shawn, it’s time for Shawn
to retire BOTH OF THEM. That’s your Mania match. Double retirement. Taker/Shawn
III. You can’t get a better story than that.
* As Undertaker leaves and trainers help Shawn to the back, we’re
down to our final 5. Rollins manages to eliminate his fellow starting partner
in Andrade. **We’re now down to 4. Seth Rollins (1), Randy Orton (18), Drew
McIntyre (27) and Dean Ambrose (28). McIntyre tosses out Orton. We’re
down to 3. Ambrose gets thrown out by Rollins.
* WE’RE DOWN TO THE LAST 2. DREW MCINTYRE AND SETH ROLLINS. THE
SCOTTISH PSYCHOPATH AND THE ARCHITECT. This is absolutely how you do the final
2 in a Royal Rumble match. You have it come down to the 2 biggest favorites in
the match to keep everyone guessing and everyone on the edge of their seat.
**In the end, Seth Rollins earns the name of THE IRON MAN two years in a row in
Phoenix and ducks a Claymore Kick, hits a Curb Stomp, and throws McIntyre over
to win the match**. The KingSlayer will now transition into the Beast Slayer.
Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins will see you at Wrestlemania for the twizzler title.
