How WWE Should Book Smackville 2019

 

Hey everyone! Ever since Night Of Champions 2015, through multiple accounts, every month before major WWE pay-per-views, I’ve come on here and booked the cards to make them as exciting, intriguing, and best possible scenarios for the future. I do both NXT and main-roster pay-per-views, as well as the occasional big milestone RAW or Smackdown weekly show. Without further ado, here is how SMACKVILLE 2019 should be booked!

MAIN-SHOW

·         I’m baaaaaaaaacccckkk! These posts have been on hold since Fastlane 2019, I’ve tried to do a few since then, especially for Wrestlemania, but I’ve just been absolutely burnt out on everything. Life, the WWE product, writing these, among others. I’ve had some great and creative ideas for the past few PPV’s that I would’ve wanted to share but they weren’t worth making a whole post out of.

·         I originally wasn’t planning to do one of these for this show, but I figured since I had been MIA since the spring, that I would get one up for this just to make up for it in a small way. I have some fun ideas to make this show worthwhile, so buckle up. From here to Summerslam weekend and until further notice, I’m back full time. Buckle up.

 

1ST MATCH: Shinsuke Nakamura © vs. Finn Balor (Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship)

 

·         Nakamura is out first followed by Finny Finn Finnison. We get formal ring introductions and the match goes about 12 minutes. Our opening sequence sees Balor and Nakamura each fight each other into the corners before being broken up by the referee. Nakamura hits a Landslide on Balor and then lays him across the top rope. Nakamura rolls back and goes for the running knee to the gut, but Balor hops off the top rope and leaps over Nakamura to the mat. Nakamura turns around right into a Shotgun Dropkick from Balor, sending Nak crashing into the turnbuckles. Balor goes up top for the Coup De Grace but Nakamura rolls out of the ring. The match ends when Nakamura tries for a Kinshasa on Balor, but Finn ducks the knee and hits a 1916. Finn goes up top once again and it looks like he’s about to regain the championship, but as Balor rises up, THE LIGHTS FLICKER AND THE FIEND APPEARS ON THE APRON. Wyatt pushes Balor off the top into the ring, and Finn crashes and burns onto the mat. Wyatt nails a Sister Abigail on Nakamura and then knocks him outside the ring. Balor is isolated with the Fiend and Wyatt subdues Balor with the Mandible Claw as the lights flicker again. Nakamura retains the title, but THE FIEND has sent a message in a big way to his Summerslam opponent.

 

WINNER by DISQUALIFICATION: Finn Balor

·         We get an ad for Tapout, followed by a cut backstage to Kayla Braxton, who is interviewing Randy Orton. Orton talks briefly about his WWE Title match against Kofi at Summerslam and deacribes how the three most dangerous letters in WWE will bring Kofimania to an end- R.K.O. Orton runs down Kingston more but stops himself when Ali walks over and the two stare each other down momentarily. Ali says that it could be him in Kofi’s spot right now had Orton not taken him out. The two get heated and Ali challenges Orton to a match. Orton smiles, and says “see you out there, almost-Alimania”. Orton’s music hits and we have a huge bonus match for the night.

 

2ND MATCH: Ali vs. Randy Orton (Singles match)

 

·         Orton is out first and mocks Kofi Kingston in his Entrance by doing the boom claps. Ali is out next and the two retreat to their corners. The match goes about 9 minutes and Ali gets the advantage early with fast paced moves on the more methodical Orton, who has to retreat outside the ring to reassess his gameplan after Ali sends Orton over the top rope with a hurricanrana. The match comes to an end when Ali looks to have it won with Orton down on the mat. Ali tries for an 054 but Orton rolls out of the way, Ali lands on his feet, and rolls right into an RKO for the pin by Randal Keith. Orton looks dominant heading into Summerslam and we get a fun way to advance the story of how Orton costed Ali his own Kofimania. Ali isn’t hurt by this loss, he’s still immensely talented and can continue cutting his unique style of promos, trying to cure the world.

 

WINNER by PINFALL: Randy Orton

 

·         We cut to a shot of the environment outside the arena and the commentators run down some of the most historic WWE moments to take place in Nashville. We see Elias on a crate backstage practicing for his performance later in the night.

 

3RD MATCH: Bayley © vs. Alexa Bliss (w/ Nikki Cross) vs. Charlotte Flair (Triple Threat match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

 

·         Alexa Bliss is out first with Nikki Cross, followed by Charlotte, and finally Bayley, the champion. We get formal ring introductions and the match goes 15 minutes. Reports have been floating around all day long about WWE wanting to have either Joe or Charlotte pull off a shock win on this show, but there’s just no sense in doing that. No one is gonna be watching this show, and it would just disrupt the core storylines heading into Summerslam. The match ends when Charlotte and Alexa are in the ring; Bliss hits a Code Red on Flair, but Charlotte kicks out. Bayley slides back into the ring from the outside and Charlotte pops up and tries for a Spear outta nowhere, but Bayley leaps over Charlotte, and she nails Alexa with the move. Bayley hits a Bayley go Belly on Charlotte and she rolls outside. Bayley goes up and hits the Macho Man elbow drop on Alexa for the retain. Bayley and Ember could be a great feud, Charlotte vs Trish will be an awesome moment that doesn’t need a title change here, and the tension between Alexa and Nikki can continue. Post-match, Ember Moon comes out on stage and her and Bayley have a staredown as Bayley holds up the title.

 

WINNER by PINFALL and STILL WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion: Bayley

·         We get an ad for Summerslam and the commentators run down the entire card so far. We then get a video about the new and improved WWE network as we set up for Elias in the arena.

 

SEGMENT: Elias Concert

 

·         We come back and the lights dim as The Drifter strikes his first chord, sitting on his stool in the middle of the ring. Ladies and Gentlemen, Elias. He wastes no time beginning his song as he trashes Nashville, and all its sports, music, and wrestling legends. It all culminates when none other than JEFF JARRETT’s music interrupts the diss track. Jarrett takes us back to the Men’s Rumble match this year where he and Elias began #1 and #2. Double J does his usual spelling of his name schtick and warns Elias to choose his words wisely. They get heated and Elias goes to smash his guitar over Jarrett, but Jarrett moves and smashes ELIAS with his. Elias rolls out in pain, grabs a mic, and challenges JJ to an impromptu match.

 

4TH MATCH: Elias vs. Jeff Jarrett (Singles match)

 

·         After the pre-match craziness, Elias hobbles up the ring steps and enters the ropes. The match goes 5 minutes. Elias drops his guitar in the center of the ring and the two rush to grab it, and we have a momentary tug of war. It ends up snapping in half, and Elias is LIVID. The match mostly consists of taunting and big signature moves, but in the closing stretch, the match ends when Jarrett has Elias in his reach and calls for The Stroke, but Elias twists out and hits a Rainmaker-type clothesline. Elias hits the Drift Away for the victory. A fun, harmless match involving a legend on a televised house show, and Elias comes out looking strong.

·         We get an ad for NXT Takeover Cardiff at the end of next month.

 

**5TH MATCH: Kofi Kingston © vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Samoa Joe (Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship)

 

·         Joe is out first followed by Ziggler, and finally the champion, Kofi Kingston. We get formal ring introductions and the match goes 19 minutes. The bell rings and immediately Ziggler goes to superkick Kofi but Kingston has quick instincts. He ducks and Ziggler turns around right into a Trouble In Paradise right out of the gate. Ziggler rolls out of the ring and Kofi tries to taunt but has his back turned to Samoa Joe. You should never turn your back on Samoa Joe. Joe runs up behind Kofi and tries to kick in the Coquina Clutch but Kofi backs Joe up into the corner hard and starts wailing away with punches to the midsection of Joe. Kofi runs to the opposite corner and runs back and tries for a Monkey flip but Joe SITS HIS ASS DOWN with a big Uranage. The match ends when all three men are down in the ring, and slowly begin to get up at the same time. In a sudden burst of energy, Ziggler runs up behind Joe while Kofi runs at Joe, and in a similar spot to what we’ve seen before with Corbin in the place of Kofi, Ziggler hits a Zigzag on Joe and AT THE SAME TIME, Kofi nails Joe with an SOS. Joe ends up landing right on top of Dolph, and Kingston covers the birthday boy himself for the retain. Post-match, Big E and Xavier Woods come out to celebrate. Both of them hoist Kofi up on their shoulders, and OUTTA NOWHERE, RANDY ORTON RUNS IN, RKO’S KINGSTON OFF WOODS AND E’S SHOULDERS, and the show goes off the air as Orton poses on the top rope with the title before dropping it back over Kingston’s waist as Big E and Woods tend to him in the ring.
